A fancy supermarket has impressed thousands with its walk-in cheese room, a sushi bar, an in-house butcher and baker and an epic dessert display.
Supa IGA in Summer Hill, tucked away in Sydney’s inner west, is a one of a kind store offering shoppers more than just the standard supermarket.
Customers are greeted with an incredible array of fresh produce, surrounded by a gourmet deli, freshly baked goods, a seafood area, a refrigerated cheese room, a sushi chef and a full-size Asian supermarket, hidden within the IGA.
Every aisle has been immaculately organised and very well stocked, with rows upon rows of perfectly aligned grocery items and never-before-seen products.

Upon visiting the store, Sydney foodie Saryne Hanna posted a now-viral TikTok video about the experience – calling the IGA ‘next level amazing’.
She filmed around the shop, taking in the dessert area, cheese room, an ‘Asian market’, salad bar and lolly section.
‘Crème brûlée cake, and an assortment of various cakes… doughnuts. They have the most amazing cheese room – look inside, wow, it’s a massive cheese room,’ she said.
‘And then they have a whole Chinese market as well inside – they make sushi, they have so many drinks and the best range of products. Look at the beautiful lanterns.
‘They have all of these salads, all of these amazing meals… You have to see how beautiful the fruits and vegetables look. Wow, it’s amazing, And their lolly section – can’t get over it, so cute.

The supermarket has received more than 950 near-perfect reviews online, with hundreds declaring the store as one of the ‘best’ they have ever seen in Australia.
‘Ultimately one of the best supermarkets I have ever been to. They have their own refrigerated “cheese room”. The deli is amazing, and their meat is of good quality.The line up at the counter is refreshing,’ one wrote.
Another said: ‘This is one of the best supermarkets in the country. Unbelievable range, always well stocked and presented. The cheese room is superb. Worth a drive for your weekly shop.’
And another shopper added: ‘From my own experience. This is by far, very far, the very best supermarket in Australia. A beautifully presented delicatessen, superb selections, all very fresh and good looking. Very reasonably priced.’

Dozens pointed out the IGA was the perfect place for cheese lovers to shop because it offers international and local varieties to choose from.
‘Has to be the best IGA in Sydney, excellent supply and range of goods that are not found in the usual supermarkets, the cheese area is worth a visit on its own,’ one said, while another added: ‘Cheese lovers, this is the place to visit.’
Another shopper explained: ‘The cheese section is worth the cross country trip, and the seafood and deli stock is so fresh and clean.’
While one added: ‘Walk in cheese room says it all about this upmarket grocery store in Summer Hill but then there’s the sushi bar, Asian groceries, pastries, deli, and so on. Top notch.’
